a day in my life

Start out here in wicker park

Hurry dez we're gonna miss the train!!!
Imma comin'............in style!
Thats fine I'll wait....in style!!!!

She and I were having a passive agressive fight were she'd assume my drink order, not pay me any attention, forget my box, and I'd forget to tip her. Oops! Funny how that happens.

Check it out its Drunk angels!!!!

Someone got a haircut lol...and gotta love these guys :)

Hair Show Joe

Check it out I'm the dark knight! For a hair show, thats poison ivy. Fellow hair show model I also found out we share the same last name.

Heres an upclose look at the mask which was completely covered in human hair. done by a princess palace hair saloon. which is all the way out in aurora but i worth the trip for all your hair needs.

We had a whole routine where its this whole love hate thing. Includeing a fight scene and even a slow motion moment. Pretty fun and was broadcast around the glode thanks to model model.
LOL! Justin and dez came which made my month. It was nice to have them there supporting me. Its been awhile since I've had someone there at a performance or gig of mine. Really made me feel not so alone.

I'm just a stompin'

Here we all are as we left, and traveled via the train. Oh, and that guy next to me had green toenails! Green!!!!!! But yeah it was a neat experience minus the foot fungus sighting.

let's Go out to the lobby!!!

Oh how I love movies!!! So far I've seen 3 while here in chicago. "Wall-E" came first then "The Dark Knight", followed closely by "WANTED". I'm so glad I got to see all the movies I've been dieing to see all summer. Wall-E was so great and cute and really warmed my heart. i was in such an emotionaly state that day that I umm kinda had to hold back the tears at one point. I mean I totally know what its like to put in tons of time and energy for someone only to never have them even know how hard you tried.
The Dark Knight was everything you want from it. Action, adventure, and a great performance by health. I did feel sad after it was over as I'm sure alot of people will. I'll keep my werid feelings of loss to myself, and instead comment on how it must suck for christian bale having once again lost alot of press to a co-star once more, but eh hes still a moviestar and doesn't seem to mind. Wanted was pretty badass, not disturbing or anything. I could have down without the douchey macho bullshit that was stated so blantly at the start and finish of the movie. but hey bullets, blood both mixed with a lil fate and I'm down. Its of course fun to go around the city and see where both wanted and the dark knight were filmed and I find it rather magical. Mmmm movie magic. Just can't get enough of it.

Boystown Adventures

Boystown, has been just as interesting and gay as I'd thought. Oh, and by gay I mean gaaaaaaaaaaaaaay with rainbows and lots of um drinks. I like it. I mean come on, guys, music, dancing, and glitter. Whats wrong with that. Its not like I live there so I shouldn't be overloaded with too much thumping music and hot guys. Berlin is wonderful and extremely entertaining. The music is young, hip and deff happening. Sidetracks has the best drink specials, nefty video screens, and high ceilings that really open up the space. Minibar can be pretenious as hell, but its still fine as long as you don't mind working your way through the crowds. It could be better but I've enjoyed hanging out with the clientle. Oh and I'm sorry but I still enjoy seeing half naked muscle men run around and hand me a drink. Its as if they're saying here I've come to take you away and keep you hydrated. Speaking of hydrate, thats a fun one too. Theres a dance floor filled with a mix of the boystown crowd just a spinnin'. The music isn't gonna kill you but it could rock a little more. Over all boystown serves as a great meeting place, and a fun part of town if you wanna feel comfortable, fun , and gay! See you all at clarke's for some eggs and potatoes!

4th of July

Hey, guess I could write about my wonderful 4th of July! Spent it atop todd and lydia's roof in lincoln park. It was awesome in almost everyway. The view was amazing everywhere you turned fireworks were explodeing around the city in a chorus of fire. The booze and barbeque made it all that more amazing, and dangerous.... Later that night after showtunes and a breif night in a random bed I got a little upset after being awoken by a cursing black man. So of course I kicked em in the balls and pointed my finger and yelled all the way home. But This black guy and I are just fine now and can laugh about it. I mean after all I'm not the one who STOLE someones wallet. (inside joke) The weekend had another barbeque in store and it took place at stephens. Weiners, turkey burgers, and a bikelight as a strobelight made for a most enjoyable time. :)

Joe Job!!!

I have a job! Wooooooooooooooooo! I will be working at united colors of benetton in sales. Yes its salary plus commission, so I should be fine. I don't get paid for 3 weeks though which blows, but I'll work my best to make that check a fat one. I like my co-workers so far , but hate the dress code, its all bennetton, or all black. Pior to being hired I had maybe one black article of clothing. Sooooo we'll see how I get over this hurdel, and urgh I'd rather not spend my entire check at where I work when I have plenty of other bills to pay (like you know food). But woooooo! Joe job yay!!!!

So I'm in Chicago....

Yeah so I'm in Chicago. Don't have a place yet, job search is going okay. I just keep letting myself get overwhelmed with an almost lack of direction. So many options, and my normally decisive brain starts to freak out. Only because every choice I make now is gonna affect me for quite some time. Where I live: I might have to sign a lease for anywhere from 6 months to a year (whoa thats a damn commitment) , where I work : determines where I can freaking take myself and determines my limits, who I make friends with : controls the beginning of my social networking in chicago and maybe beyond. Its lonely too! I feel like everyone here is dez's friend and I'm left as just joe. I know its all just because I'm new here but dizzam! It just would be nice to have a friend to confide in. On the upside I booked a hair show, and a spot as an extra in an independent film :). I'll add photos when i get my power cord for my laptop (which I left in savannah like a fool). Oh and I figured out how to handle my medical stuff wooo! I'm just whining because I want a hug, and I'm quiting smoking and its not easy!

P.S I met someone, but I don't think this someone is into me. Lame right? This feels like high school , yup deff lame.

Chicago or Bust!

Hey! So I'm moving to Chicago on July 1st. Have to get an apartment and a job concreted, but so far everything is falling into place. Dez will be my roommate, funds are allocated (donations to the Joseph Paul Lewis Foundation are still being accepted lol), and I'm mentally ready to this thing going! Here's a photo of dez. Oh, and a photo of Chicago (I mean my future home).

Also, I'll be using this blog alot to share my photos/artwork, and to just express a little bit of me into this big blog world.

(so here's a photo of me incase you didn't know yet)
